Theropods

Theropods walked on two legs and most were hunters, with sharp, curved teeth and grasping hands. The group runs from small, quick predators like Coelophysis and Velociraptor to giants such as Tyrannosaurus, Giganotosaurus and Spinosaurus.

Not every theropod ate meat. Therizinosaurs and many ornithomimids ate plants, and oviraptorosaurs had toothless beaks. Many theropods had feathers, and birds are living theropods: they descend from small feathered relatives of Velociraptor.
