About Pneumatoraptor
What it was like
Pneumatoraptor was a small feathered predator, perhaps a relative of the raptors. It is known only from a shoulder bone, which has an opening for an air sac.
Its world
It lived about 86 to 84 million years ago, in the Late Cretaceous, in what is now Hungary. Europe was then a chain of islands. Its bone comes from the Csehbánya Formation, where the armored Hungarosaurus, the small plant eater Mochlodon and the tiny horned Ajkaceratops also lived.
How it was found
Osi and colleagues named it in 2010 from one find.
