About Daliansaurus
What it was like
Daliansaurus was a small troodontid, a feathered theropod with long legs. Its feet had a large claw on the second toe, a bit like the sickle claw of dromaeosaurs.
Its world
It lived in the Early Cretaceous, in what is now China. It comes from the Yixian Formation, where it shared the land with the feathered tyrannosaur Yutyrannus and the small predators Sinosauropteryx and Sinornithosaurus.
How it was found
Shen and colleagues named Daliansaurus in 2017. The type species is Daliansaurus liaoningensis.
