About Yunmenglong
What it was like
Yunmenglong was a huge sauropod, a long-necked plant eater. It is known from part of the neck, back and limbs, which suggest a very large animal.
Its world
It lived in the Early Cretaceous, in what is now China. It comes from the Haoling Formation, where it shared the land with the giant sauropod Ruyangosaurus and the armored Gobisaurus.
How it was found
Lü and colleagues named Yunmenglong in 2013. The type species is Yunmenglong ruyangensis.
