About Histriasaurus
What it was like
Histriasaurus was a long-necked sauropod known from a back bone and a few other pieces. It may be one of the oldest rebbachisaurids, relatives of Nigersaurus.
Its world
It lived in the Early Cretaceous in what is now Croatia. The region was then part of a shallow sea with low islands.
How it was found
Dalla Vecchia named it in 1998. The type species is Histriasaurus boscarollii.
