About Matheronodon
What it was like
Matheronodon was a plant eater related to Rhabdodon, known from part of an upper jaw with teeth. Its teeth were very large and few, with sharp ridges, and they seem to have worked like the blades of scissors to slice tough plants.
Its world
It lived in the Late Cretaceous in what is now southern France.
How it was found
Godefroit and colleagues named Matheronodon in 2017, from a single find.
