Name that dinosaur
Watch the film or study the photo, then pick the right name. Ten dinosaurs a game.
How to play
Choose film clips or photos, and a level. Each round shows one dinosaur: pick its name from the four choices, by tapping or with the keys 1 to 4. After each answer you see what it was, with a link to its page. Every dinosaur you name correctly earns its fossil card.
Famous uses the dinosaurs most people have heard of. Expert uses every dinosaur we have pictures of, and the wrong answers come from the same group, so a sauropod is always up against other sauropods.
What to look for
Start with the body plan: two legs or four, long neck or short, armor, horns, crests or feathers. Then look closer. Ceratopsians differ in their horns and frills, duck-bills in their crests, and theropods in their size, arms and skull shape.
