Dinosaur crosswords

6 free crosswords where every answer is a dinosaur. Solve them on a phone or computer, or print one on a single sheet with the answers on the next.

How to play

Every answer is the name of a dinosaur. Each clue starts with what the name means, then says what kind of dinosaur it was, when it lived and where its fossils have been found. The number in brackets is how many letters the answer has.

Tap a square or a clue and type; on a computer, the arrow keys move and Tab jumps to the next clue. Check and reveal buttons help when you are stuck, and every answer you get right links to that dinosaur's page.

For classes and rainy days

Each crossword prints on one sheet of letter or A4 paper, with a line for a name and the answer key on a second sheet. The clues use the name meanings, so they teach a little Greek and Latin along the way: "tri-cera-tops" is three, horn and face.

For younger solvers, try a dinosaur word search or the coloring pages.
