About Goyocephale

What it was like

Goyocephale was a small bone-headed dinosaur about 2 meters (7 feet) long. Its skull was flat and thick rather than domed, with knobs around the edges. It had sharp, fang-like teeth at the front of its jaws, and plant-cutting teeth behind.

Its world

It lived in the Late Cretaceous in what is now Mongolia.

How it was found

Perle and colleagues named Goyocephale in 1982 from one partial skeleton with much of the skull.
